Lot (4) Czech transparent red oval blown glass Christmas garland beads. These demonstate nicely how blown glass beads are made by hand blowing glass into a three part mold. These have been painted but not mercury silver lined and have not been cut to finish the beads. Once cut, they would have had caps fitted at each end so they could be strung in garlands or as individual ornaments.
The beads would have measured approximately 30mm or 1.2 inches when finished. As they are, each length of 3 beads measures around 5 inches.
There are spots of missing color on all of the beads. These could be kept as are to make unique decorations or cut to finish the beads providing the correct equipment is used.
