Czech rectangle block of uranium glass. This glows beautifully under UV light. A rare block of original glass. A unique and rare find to be kept as a collectors piece, for experienced glass blowers, for art installations or button and bead makers. As can be seen from the pictures, this has a few air bubbles and creasing to the surface.

Uranium glass contains depleted uranium oxide, which gives the glass a yellow or yellow-green tint, but not radioactive, and causes it to glow under a UV black light. Uranium glass became popular in the mid-19th century, with its period of greatest popularity being from the 1880s to the 1920s.
