Czech Bohemian studio Art Glass miniature uranium glass Pyramid. This is a beautifully faceted and hand finished Pyramid of uranium glass which has optical illusion properties. Perfectly transparent but as it is moved, angular lines appear in the glass as the edges have been finely bevelled. This is beautiful as a stand alone object but could be used in a larger art display or as a miniature paperweight.

Uranium glass contains uranium oxide, which gives the glass a yellow or yellow-green tint, and causes it to glow under a UV black light. Uranium glass became popular in the mid-19th century, with its period of greatest popularity being from the 1880s to the 1920s. The uranium glass used to make this ornament comes from depleted uranium which has minimal radioactivity and is harmless.
